Hang On Like An Octopus

I ‪wanted to do something to help the people of Haiti‬ during this difficult time, so I created a design, cut it out of a lino block and printed a limited edition of 40.
Now you can own an original piece of art and help Haiti at the same time.

I'll send you a print (to anywhere in the world that is accessible by post) and donate (the remainder after postage costs) to Plan Canada on your behalf. Your donation will help children and families rebuild their lives after the devastation caused by the earthquake that fell upon Haiti on January 12, 2010.

"Hang On Like An Octopus" measures 51/4" x 81/2" and is printed with oil based ink on Arches 140lb hot pressed watercolor paper.

You can donate $20, $30, or $40. Any of these amounts will be greatly appreciated...

Your Donation

..please feel free to share this with anyone who you think may be in interested in purchasing a piece of art and helping out the Haitian people in their time of need.

Thank you.

The Bustle Bag

Talented Toronto clothing designers Bustle recently teamed up with Belvedere to help them launch Belvedere IX and invited nine local artists to paint a bag in celebration of IX.

The bags were featured in latest Bustle show at Toronto Fashion Week a couple of weeks ago and are now on display and up for auction in the library of Hôtel Le Germain
(30 Mercer Street).

Please drop by the newly renovated Victor Restaurant (at Hotel Le Germain) after 6:00 p.m., this Friday, April 17th. Luxurious Belvedere IX cocktails and light fare from Victor will be served.

All bags will be sold by silent auction, with a portion of the proceeds from sale going to support SKETCH, a working arts organization assisting street involved and homeless youth.
RSVP to: kburnscoady@chartonhobbs.com

You can read more about the bag project and Buslte in this Toronto Star Article.
