The V Fest Time Capsule of 2009 ended nicely for us in our hometown this past weekend! Thanks to all for all the support in helping our piece grow this summer. We had a blast!. Here is what the final piece looks like after the 5 city tour...
Last weekends Calgary V-Fest went well. 4 down, 1 to go. Last weekend of August is Onario... yo! Thanks for all the support and the shout out from Mike's Bloggity Blog..
So after taking this random pic of some hot pumps on a hand rail a few weeks back I decided I'll try to post a random pic (of something random that my phone and I come across) once a week. Here she is... .. .
The fun continued on day 2 and we finally had a completely sunny day. Thank you to everyone who contributed flowers, stars, fairy's and more peace signs. You really truly are a beautiful pixie..
Yesterday, we took to a muddy Citadel Hill and let the eager beaver Halifax folk express themselves with some art puke fun. Bleeaaahhh!.. Thanks to all the muddy contributors..
. .. ...and a couple of pics from foggy ol' Hali. Next stop, Deer Lake BC on the 25th and 26th. Can't Wait!
My Brother Rob and I collaborated on this Skateboard design using his Bite images and submitted it to Infectious.com's skate decks challenge. Now it's up for voting and you can vote on it by clicking here...
I had fun designing this flyer (tribute to Diego Rivera) for Kirkwood and then the day I finished it, the party got cancelled. A big WEH WEH WEH for that.. Thanks Cobra.
This is where we stand after the first 2 festival days. Thank you Montreal for all the support and thanks to everyone who contributed. Next stop, Halifax...
Jabbawockeez and Lights.. I managed to catch the Jabbawockeez dance crew and they are pretty sick, like if they were made out of robot parts. I also briefly saw Lights (pop chicky) and her beats/synth sound pretty cool live, but I didn't see any lights. Maybe next time she'll play in the dark..huh?
So me and brother-man Rob are touring with V-Fest this summer across Canada working on a mural/collage. Here are some pics after day 1. Boom Boom Pow...
Talented Toronto clothing designers Bustle recently teamed up with Belvedere to help them launch Belvedere IX and invited nine local artists to paint a bag in celebration of IX.
The bags were featured in latest Bustle show at Toronto Fashion Week a couple of weeks ago and are now on display and up for auction in the library of Hôtel Le Germain (30 Mercer Street).
Please drop by the newly renovated Victor Restaurant (at Hotel Le Germain) after 6:00 p.m., this Friday, April 17th. Luxurious Belvedere IX cocktails and light fare from Victor will be served.
All bags will be sold by silent auction, with a portion of the proceeds from sale going to support SKETCH, a working arts organization assisting street involved and homeless youth.
